• WARNING: Eldarus is NOT designed with children in mind. The content within may contain foul or adult themes, language and other material that may not be appropriate for children ages 13 and under. IT IS STRONGLY ADVISED BY THE OWNERS THAT ANYBODY UNDER THIS AGE SEEK OUT A MORE AGE-APPROPRIATE ROLE PLAY SITE
• NO HARRASSMENT OF ANY FORM: This includes but is not limited to Racism, Sexist comments, Religious bashing. It is asked that you please use your best judgment on these issues, it may be intended as a joke – but jokes can and are often taken the wrong way, so please be careful what you say in the chat room and the forums. Complaints about harassment should be brought to the attention of a moderator/administrator immediately so that chat logs can be reviewed an appropriate action can be taken. WARNING: IF YOU ARE FOUND TO BE IN VILOATION OF THIS RULE YOU CAN AND WILL SUSPENEDED AND OR BANNED FROM CHAT AND FORUMS

• No OOC (Out of Character) chatting in the IC (In Character) Rooms. If you need to step away from your computer for a bit and you are in a public room with other RPers please do not go (BRB guys!) Simply use the ‘private’ messaging system and let whoever may be awaiting your next post that you will return shortly. If you are in a Private (User created/Passed room) and wish to discuss matters outside of the PM window, then please pass the room, or take it to a messenger, or the OOC (out of character) room.
• No character names with numbers, *, %, #, @, $, or with curse words in them.
• Characters that have been deliberately taken from Books, Movies, or other forms of popular media will be not be accepted. Examples of such include but are not limited to Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean (Jack Sparrow, ect.), Edward Cullen, & Bella Swan.
• No God-Moding Please – see the “Fighting” Rules for details.
• No ‘Modern’ Weapons! Please see “Weapon policy” for details.
• PKing (Player Killing) unless agreed upon by the other characters’
• Sexual Relations in the chat — Yes, your characters can do it as much as they like, when they like – but please if your characters decide to screw around in a public room, it is requested that you shift to a Private room (with a password) before things get to intimate, so as to not upset, offend or gross out other players.
• No destroying public rooms (such as a Tavern, Church, School, ect) without permission from an Admin.
• ‘Special’ Characters such as: Vampires, Angels, Demons, Werewolves, or other characters of abnormal strengths are accepted but have to follow extra rules. Also the Admin have right to restrict the number/amount of each one of these character types as they see fit. Failure to follow the rules set in place for these characters may lead to the deletion and removal of the character itself.
  • Vampires and Werewolves: These types of characters cannot simply do as they please and run around biting anyone and everyone. These characters must have weaknesses that are equal to or greater than that of their strengths. If you wish to ‘turn’ someone, first discuss it with the intended character OOCly (out of characterly) and also with an Admin. The Admins’ have a right to limit how many people are ‘turned’ into Vampires/werewolves. As Vampires and werewolves are typical a greatly feared being, they are more likely to be openly attacked and or hunted instead of receiving a warm greeting ICly. These characters not all powerful or are they above the law so please remember the rules on Strengths and Weakness as well as PKing. The Admins have the right to restrict and limit these types of characters as they see fit.
  • Angels/Demons: Like the werewolf and vampire characters their weaknesses have to be equal to or greater than their strengths. These Characters are NOT all powerful, or above the law, but they may have special abilities that set them apart from normal ‘human’ characters. The Admin have the right to restrict and limit these types of characters as they see fit.
  • Dragons: Dragons are probably one of the most abused power characters in RP due to their size, strengths, and special attacks. While it is admitted that the scales of a dragon are generally accepted to be all but impenetrable and their breath weapons considered to be one of the most powerful attacks in the RP world; these characters are not all powerful or above the law. A dragon character, like all special characters, must have a weakness that is equal to or greater than their actual strengths. The Admins have the right to restrict and limit these types of characters.WARNING: Remember if you agree to a PK fight with a Dragon character…You are Crunchy and Taste good with ketchup.
  • Abuse of ‘special’ character will result in the character being deleted, and if too many complications or issues arise they may be banned completely from the site until the Admins decide to ‘invite’ such beings back into the realm of Eldarus.net

• If your character becomes a Guard you must first speak with the player who is Captain of The Guard. It is preferred that this is done In Character. People who become Guards must be able to dedicate a fair amount of time to being in the chat/forums and being ACTIVE. This means, if you are offline for more than two days at a time without any notice, your character’s guard status will decline, to merely a ‘desk job.’ If you are a guard and must take a vacation, or an extended period of off-line time, then let the captain of the guard know, and we will come up with a reason for your character to be ‘away’ other than simply showing back up and picking up where you left off. This helps create more interesting storylines while keeping everyone active and creative.

We aren’t out to steal your characters or your stories, we all just wanna have fun

Failure to comply with these rules may result in revocation of Forum privileges and may also lead to further action taken against the offender.
